In what sphere of work has anybody ever done this ? Especially in football, everyone knows the risks every time a contract is signed. He made significant contributions that kept us in the league and is our 3rd highest scorer in PL history. While people can ask for more, he's certainly not the dud that some make out and at £1.5m signing on and the first few years on relatively shit money thare's no way he owes the club anything. Let him go and move on. No need for the acrimony. The day he comes back he's getting a polite clap, so sue me. We don't have to hate everyone who leaves.
