Vogwell estate, Manaton

I'm hoping to find out what the connection is between the Vogwell estate (farm, cottage, down, etc) and the Vogwill name. I would like to find the provenance of the property.

Where some Vogwills (Fogwell, Vogwell, etc) the original owners?

A really good source for property questions such as this is the heritagegateway.org.uk site.
Searching for Vogwell has a great deal of info including that the name is mentioned in saxon documents at the Exeter Cathedral archives

Oh thank you, most of this info I've already come across. I was hoping for a more detailed account of the property ownership over the centuries. Tall order I guess!
