If you search the name on FindMyPast, you will find many records for both father & son, including a proclamation relating to the father as Chamberlain for Plymouth where he was described as 'being one of the people called Quakers.'
The 1817 death for JFR was recorded by the Society of Friends, and suggests that this may have been the father as his age was 71.
