Have managed to find the grave of his father, Samuel , not at Tyne Cot where the letter was lost, he is buried at Hangard Communal Cemetery extension I.H.17 , plot 1 . There is a headstone with his name on, but picture not on CWG site yet.
He served with the Royal Berkshire Regiment service no 12175

Nice to think that his body was recovered and given a burial.
We have been to Tyne Cot, so very sad, and so many names on the walls without a grave. Also been to the Menin Gate where I was able to touch the name of the man who would have been my great uncle if he had survived. His wife my grannies sister.
Hope the relatives can be found for a special letter to be returned.
