Thank you for your reply, I have finished my Dowdall tree and would love to know what my great grand father got up to. Its hard to believe he left his wife and four sons, He moved to Swansea and was a glazier and an Inn Keeper which is what he did in Pilton. By now William had ten children who were well educated and had good jobs so it would be nice to find out about any thing wrong prior to moving to swansea.
