Union Place still exists as a place name and you can actually view the current street scene in Google Street View - mostly modern replacements for housing destroyed in WW2, but one or two older houses which may be survivals from pre-war. I see from the NLS 1:500 street plan that Union Place looked out on to Adelaide Park . It's interesting to see that a grassed public open space still exists there, with seats and childrens play equipment.
