Page 374 mentions Hartley Lloyd, and the snippett says "....... of his property and that of his lieutenant and for proceedings to be taken against the property of the joint owners of Piers's ship. The Lords of the Council promised to give the matter every attention." Might be nothing to do with your Hartley Lloyd, but I did find a marriage in 1797 for a Joseph Hartley (a Mariner) and a Frances Lloyd, in Plymouth, Charles the Martyr. They were both able to sign their names. However, could not find any baptisms for any children that might have taken their name as Hartley Lloyd. Sally
