Had thought perhaps he was an uncle who gave her away, but no luck there.
I have gone back to 1861 with Albert and his parents, Samuel and alice, who had 9 children, 3 were boys, but none named Ernest. so you would have to do their trees to see if he belonged to them.
If not hopefully the 1921 census will be out soon and you can check that!!
Looking at Albert Edward the road mender/roadman he was in Grimsby in 1901 sorting the roads out there!!
