Was there once. All I cared about were Y100 & 96X.
(Hated stations w/no jingles. Still do.) 56-QAM and to an extent, 1580 WSRF were still there. All AM. Dying on the vine! 790 WFUN-AM, had died.
(WSRF was WSHE's AM. Co-owned.)

IF I could say one thing here. 1050 Chum (Toronto) tossed "Oldies Radio-10-50 Chum" and 1150 CKOC (Hamilton,ON) went oldies. It was like, "big deal." I have the same feeling here on this. You're the #21 station and you're going after B96 numbers? A race for the crumbs?
I found this quote and it says a lot!
"70's AM radio was better than today's so called FM radio. DJ's are just bored people reading scripted sheets." Wow! -Author unknown.
Always grateful for this forum, and the things I learn, AND a moderator who doesn't add their 2 cents to every topic! (IE: NY, Mich boards.)
