Taking a 2.3 signal (N/T) and a 0.4 signal (Sports) they are probably running off the bird dark? Wonder if they are going to run these off of FM stick or just chuck the formats all together.

Phil might be right. They might be exiting the AM band, totally or in most markets due to cost of land under the sticks, or paying rent for them. 780 is already on FM. Which FM here would lose their slot to give space to AM 670? (A couple of years ago I suggested that 670 was for sale. I was ridiculed for it). If they can justify shutting off the AM sticks and let it ride on an FM or an app, I can see it. Chicago, I believe would not go dark, but they would try to sell everything except the tower, TX, etc.
