I never understood why a promoter would hire a local opening act for our show, except for the benefit of the local act. And maybe they did it for free just to get the exposure, I don't know. There were a few occasions where we sensed that the audience was growing impatient waiting for us to take the stage. But a "bad" opening act actually worked to our benefit, because we would inverably blow them out of the water when we hit the stage. We were professional, loud and tight, which few local artists could measure up to.
