I ask because I have my grandfather's Notice of Separation ("NAVPERS-553" is noted under that title). Box 24 is titled "SERVICE (VESSELS AND STATIONS SERVED ON)" which lists his three Armed Guard assignments. Above those are references to his Armed Guard School (Gulfport) and his Armed Guard Center (Brooklyn, dispatching ships to the Med, N.Atlantic, etc.).
