The Armed Guards FIRST Crew was shipped out
On December 2nd 1941, five days before the attack on Pearl Harbor. The very first Armed Guard crew to leave from the Brooklyn Armed Guard Center was Gun Crew #1, assigned to the SS Dunboyne, bound for Murmansk.
