just saw this website. I just discovered a document (Reports of Deaths of American Citizens Abroad)for my late uncle, a merchant seaman, on ancestry.com and it shows that he died aboard the SS Robin Goodfellow Aug 19, 1955 in Cape Town, South Africa. Don't know if this is the same ship.
