My dad’s brother Harry David Morgan, Seaman second class, United States Naval Reserve was serving on board the SS ROBIN GOODFELLOW when on 25 July 1944, another merchant ship, the SS PRIAM reported receiving an SOS signal, stating that the S ROBIN GOODFELLOW had been torpedoed by an enemy submarine. An investigation showed that the ship failed to arrive at her destination or at any other port. No trace of the missing ship or of the personnel aboard the ship was found. My dad is now 83 years old and he was very close to his brother Harry so I’m trying to find out any information on the SS ROBIN GOODFELLOW that I’m sure would be of special interest to my father.
