The only postwar information I can find is that she was scrapped in 1973 in New Orleans. This suggests she went into the reserve fleet ("mothballed") immediately after World War II and probably never sailed again.
Sidney H. Short (1858-1902) was an electrical engineer, educator, and inventor of many items for arc lighting and electrical traction systems.
