I'm also very concerned about our country. Personally I don't believe for a minute that the most important problem facing our nation is the ecomomy. I think it is the terrorists. It seems rather ironic that today our leaders declared that the phrase "war on terror" will no longer be
used...then I just read that a top Taliban leader, who is considered very credible by our security people, says that SOON they will launch an attack on Washington D.C. that will astound the world!
I have long predicted the fanatic Muslim
terrorists will explode perhaps 15 or 20 homicide bombs across the the USA, in small cities or towns simultaneously. The confusion and terror would be unbelieveable.
At, or about the same time, several highly trained, heavily armed small units of terrorists will attack OTHER small towns in shopping centers or other places where people gather. They will capture, for a short time, TV and/or radio stations and broadcast misleading information that will add to the confusion.
Of course, they will be killed or captured, but the damage will have been done.
I think such attacks are feasible and would cause a great deal of damage in every sense of the word.
I hope and pray I am wrong...but it can happen.
The economy wiil take a "backseat" when such attacks take place, but perhaps it will take that to awaken the American people to the fact that we ARE at WAR. We have been for years. The terrorists actually "declared" war on us, I believe in 1993, but no one paid attention.
We MUST fight this war in the same sense as other wars...to WIN. It requires some different means and tactics sometimes, but the goal remains the same.
As General MacArthur said, "IN WAR, THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR VICTORY!"
May God be with us.
