Re: SHOWCASE THOUGHTS
There are good players that DO NOT play with the outlaws. I have seen kids leave the outlaws and go to other teams in TYFA and others. My son went to “try out” for the showcase. They wasted our time. They told ALL the kids in his age group they ONLY want kids from two teams, they were holding spots for kids that NEVER showed up to “try out”. Other people are correct, it’s BULL! That age group didn’t do well with their all outlaw and other team group. There is more to youth football than the outlaws. Everyone speaks about the outlaws like they walk on water! Again, there are MANY other teams with just as good kids or better than one team. My son could have played with the outlaws but we chose not to, we were not impressed. It’s a kids game, they should play with a team that they enjoy, an organization that will help them be a better person and player. Not all teams and organizations are good. But your right, some kids never play in school for one reason or another, not all go to college or play in the NFL. Playing in a sport teaches kids how to work together, how to critically think, how to set goals and builds character. Parents live for their kids, NOT live through their kids!
