Was browsing on a completely different subject when the article I was reading offered this link, dated just today:

Shows that, presidential directive aside, "the system" is going to continue to function as before for the time being. The actual directive has required that a 6-month study be undertaken to examine the costs, and "develop a path" to steam conversion. That will be followed by congressional debate on funding it, and probably some preliminary design work. So, nothing immediate is happening. The yard and process continue, as this shows. Obviously, how much farther this all gets remains to be seen. Still, after the recent development, I found this to be an interesting item, which I've chosen to pass along despite a few misgivings.
