quite simple -they are RN and the RN is minimally represented in any scale compared with other navys, possibly due to the us belief the RN did nothing and the USN WON ALL THE WARS

I contacted the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich recently for plans of HMS Lion in WWI. They only had a hold plan of Lion. If there are no plans of Lion in WWI, this creates a problem because Lion had changed between 1914 and 1916. Her forward superstructure had torpedo lookout positions added which are on no plans, and there were some screens added. Her spotting top had windows added, was encased in splinter mattresses, and has a canvas screened open position on top of the spotting top. On the deck by the tripod she had two 3-inch high angle guns, one on each side. There is more. The only thing to do is for a zealous draughtsman to resort to making his own plans from photographs.
The Iron Duke is luckier, and it is quite possible to make a 1916 model of the ship if the manufacturer does some research.
It is astonishing that the WWI Royal Navy is almost completely unrepresented by plastic models. Most of Combrig's resin models are of the ships in their prewar state
