Hi JLing. I also agree the Hobby Boss kits are "better," as in more accurate. However...
I did a lot of research, too. Who makes the CIWS mountings, please? Those would be my first concern. I have the EV P100 set of Burke upgrades. Lots of nice stuff, but no OE-570 domes (has the older satcom antennae) and no mounts for their CIWS.
Then there's the vertical RHIB arrangement on Forrest Sherman. I could get their Lassen, but then I need funnel caps. Etc.
As I earlier wrote, lots of apparent extra expense and effort to obtain items already in the Dragon kit, to get a more accurate hull and VLS for a model only I will see.
If you can "solve the CIWS mount" problem for me, I might consider the Hobby Boss kit. (And don't tell me to use the Mustin's mounts on a Hobby Boss kit. Would rather just use them on the Mustin kit.)

Hi, Ralph and Lars, I agree with Lars that Hobby Boss's kits are better. I built five ships lately with their different config. Did a lot of research on each ship. There are update kits from EV Model and other makers.

Two years ago, I looked at my collection of Burkes, the most modern of which was USS Pinckney in about 2007 configuration, and decided I wanted "newer." I found a Dragon 1/700 Mustin kit for a good price, and grabbed it. Then, I found some 1/700 OE-570 satcom antennae at Sprue Brothers, along with Nulka. I began to study Burke class images to see what ship those might get me. Then, EV Resin's P100 Burke upgrade set showed up. Even more goodies available!
However, early in the following year, I got my 1/700 Doggy Industry DDGX. Can't really get much newer than that! I lost interest in the project.
Today, was quiet, and my mind drifted back to my Mustin kit. I now have better image sources, and have spent the day reviewing. I believe I will be starting DDG-112 USS Michael Murphy shortly.
Very much looking forward to it! Hope it will be as much fun as the Mogami FFM was, or more.
