The waters north of Norway are cold, but there is no ice. Around Greenland, especially the northern and eastern part, there is a lot of ice.
I referred to the measures which are available to protect Greenland against Chinese and Russian ships. There is the argument that it would not be protected. But it is coming from a country, which has no capabilities to patrol around Greenland - at least not with surface vessels in the more northern and eastern parts.
