The Russian convoys routes were very much determined by the ice, pushing them much closer to the Norwegian coast and consequently the Luftwaffe.
As for China, they would first have to transfer through the Bering Stait, not sure how they would do that

The waters north of Norway are cold, but there is no ice. Around Greenland, especially the northern and eastern part, there is a lot of ice.

I referred to the measures which are available to protect Greenland against Chinese and Russian ships. There is the argument that it would not be protected. But it is coming from a country, which has no capabilities to patrol around Greenland - at least not with surface vessels in the more northern and eastern parts.
