It is waterline only, apparently. That is either a pro or a con, depending on your preferences. There was a thread here noting the catwalk sides are not properly sloped (a stealth thing). A con, but can you live with that? (No model I know of is completely perfect. Defects range from major to minor, and some minors can be major to some.) In other words, "should you?" is subjective, and something only you can answer. Advice here has been great. Look over kit reviews. Treat yourself if you feel strongly tempted, and it is a luxury you can have without other hardships.

I just recently sprang for a Tamiya 1/700 Mogami FFM. Just got through with the "should I?" debate with myself. Ultimately, I realized exactly what James N has written...I am not immortal, and should enjoy my time and treat myself.
