HMS Warspite along with USS Coloroado was at Puget Sound Navy Yard on 12/7/41 when war broke out for America.
PSNY's initial reaction to protect both ships from possible torpedo attack is listed here. LOL!
Even though it was not known yet that USS Oglala (sister ship of USS Aroostook) did not save USS Helena from taking a torpedo at Pearl, it appears that they gave HMS Warspite the short end of the stick when it came to protecting her from possible torpedos. Ex-Ferry Quilcene is the best they could do? LOL!
