Well, I see what I already knew. USS Giffords is in for an overhaul:

She should emerge in June of next year, if I have read correctly, and have the new Lethality and Survivability Upgrades installed:

Finally!! They have been proposed since about 2020, and I had read an earlier report to Congress that Giffords was to have gotten this done last year. I will be looking for photos of her next year after she comes out of the yard. There are some "visual cues" which should be evident showing she received the upgrade (most notably the installation of "SEWIP lite" and Nulka.)

Glad this blasted program finally seems to be getting under way. I have been watching for it for a long time (and have already "unofficially" done it to one of my LCS models based on what's been written. Now, to see how close I got...)
