There are fifty some of various ones of these available on E -Bay right now. I never bought any, but I did get a couple of the 4 stack destroyers and found them to be pretty nice kits. So check it out.

A fellow modeler told me these were released, and I have no reason to believe he lied.
For years, I thought these kits were vapor-ware - announced but never released - but a modelling buddy of mine swears he held their Wilhelm Bauer kit in a B&M store.
Short story, he didn't purchase it then & there, and when he decided to go back it was gone.
Kit #s were supposed to be 40431 U-3505 & 40432 Wilhelm Bauer. Can anyone else attest to this? Google has no hits, and they are not listed in the Mirage Hobby catalog. I'm wondering if what he saw was a pre-production test kit that was released by accident, and why didn't Mirage release them more widely?
More importantly, if you have one and are willing to part with it please drop me a line.
