Well for a "do-nothing raid" the recepient's were so enraged and struck with "victory fever" that they sailed right into a pretty big right hook. Yamamoto got the plan he wanted, but the results were not what was expected. A big lesson there.

as the Do-nothing raid but I agree with the opinion that it so warped Japanese strategic thinking that unforced errors became commonplace. Previous Message
