What does that have to do with any make or model of machine? That is obviously an issue with your repair shop provider practices.
Who would concern about .5 qt. per 1500mi.of lubricating oil consumption with any vehicle.
A Chevette is just another compilation of components and like any other machine its service is a reflection of its operation and service practices.
