Yes ... we are still out there, but very quiet !!
In fact My wife and I have just completed some sea time. Managed to get to the Baltic for two weeks and actually go ashore in Russia. ( St. Petersberg ) Like all of us, I was restricted for many years after leaving the R.N.
Mind you, it took some scrutiny by their immigration before we got through, but well worth it in the end. I do have contact with a couple of JSTS people who were there with us in 68-70. But haven't actually met them for a number of years. Keep promising myself that I will meet up. But the saying goes, when you retire, don't know how we had time to go to work.
