Hi Colin. At the end of a run ashore we most times used to call in at the "Hasty-Tasty" in Kowloon for fish and chips, was that still there while you were in residence? We have been back to H.K. six times since leaving the "Andrew" but I could never find it, I think that when the military presence was reduced it must have closed down.
Both Yvonne and I love the orient and only three months ago we were in Kuala Lumpur for a few days while en route to Brisbane for a bit of a holiday.
I never got to Singapore while I was in the Navy but did call in there a couple of times as a civillian, I was dissapointed, it was too clean and tidy, my idea of the Orient is a noisy, dirty, friendly place. I thought that Singapore was none of these. Is it me?
