QUOTE:
"Rosh haShanah IS a Sabbath but is NOT a High Holy Day!
Eschatologists consider Rosh haShanah (Yom Teru'ah) the most likely day that Ye-shu'a (Jesus) will return to the earth a second time, but Eschatologists cannot discern exactly WHICH YEAR Ye-shu'a (Jesus) will return.
Rosh haShanah is called "The Day That No-One Knows"
because it is the only Hebrew Feast / Festival day that falls on the first day of a month (Rosh Chodesh).
Since the first day of any Hebrew month depends on the sighting of the first tiny sliver of the next waxing moon following a new moon, no-one knows exactly when Rosh haShanah will begin until the next waxing moon is sighted and the 7th Hebrew month (Tishri) is officially declared to have begun. Discover The Significance Of Rosh Chodesh
Rosh haShanah, the New Year, and Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, are two very important holidays in the Jewish calendar.
However, modern Hebrews attribute far more importance to both of them than is actually warranted, justifiable or even defensible.
Modern Hebrews consider Rosh haShanah and Yom Kippur (and the days between them) to be "THE" High Holy Days.
Whereas this is not God's opinion, for God has NOT declared either Rosh haShanah or Yom Kippur a High Holy Day.
The three High Holy Days established by God are:
1 - The first day of the Feast Of Unleavened Bread (Chag Ha Matzoh) - 15 Nisan - The day after The Passover.
2 - Pentecost (Shavu'ot) - On a Sunday, very late in spring, fifty days from the first Sunday following (after) The Passover.
3 - The first day of the Feast Of Tabernacles (Sukk'ot) - 15 Tishri - Five days after Yom Kippur and fifteen days after Rosh haShanah.
These three God-ordained High Holy Days are Annual High Sabbaths, "Pilgrimage" Sabbaths.
On God's ecclesiastical calendar, there are no OTHER High Holy Days!"

Here I am posting a passage from Leviticus 23 and have inserted in parenthesis current dates and info relevant to this particular coming timeframe, that those who wish to try and observe the rites of the coming timeframe. Noting that there are other observances commanded by scripture for the 7 Day Feast of Sukkot, pronounced SUCCOTH, and also referred to as the FEAST OF Booths (tents). The word Sukkot’ means “HUT”, as historically the first such Festival was held at the base of Mt. Sinai when The LORD commanded the Hebrews and Moses to return so THE LORD could give Moses a SECOND set of Tablets containing “THE LAW” as the first set were destroyed when Moses came down at Shavuot/Pentecost to find the people in sinful idolatry as they partied! So when they were given a “Second Chance” and called back to Mt. Sinai, they dwelt in “Huts” or “Tents”. IN Modern observances some construct a special hut (whose dimensions are noted in Scripture) and stay in them the entire week. Some only stay over night, some only during daylight hours, but all EAT THEIR MEALS in them, and so some only “DWELL” in their Booths for meal times. As there is no specification of how long each of the SEVEN days one is to Dwell inside the booths (obviously there are gatherings which must take place outside ones own booth) this latter observance is considered okay. On the first day of this festival however, 15 Tishri Scriptures in Leviticus and elsewhere offers a note that one is to through the entire day be carrying a Palm Branch, an Etrog which is a lemon like Citron and at least two other types of branches, A Myrtle Branch and a Willow Branch continually on ones person through the event.
Also keep in mind the Scriptural Calendar runs from timeframe that corresponds from September to September in comparison to the Roman Calendar. So this timeframe, August, is the final month of the Scriptural Calendar, or the Hebrew month of ELUL in the year 5773.
LEVITICUS 23
24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, (1 Tishri 5774 {from Sunset Wed Sept 4th 2013 to Sunset Thur Sept 5th 2013}) shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
(The timeframe is to have {a holy convocation} a meeting of the people set aside as holy, or a ceremonial act to honor YAH', in this case it is the Blowing of the Shofar throughout the day. There is no set Biblical Number, though Hebrews usually sound no less than 100 salutes of the Shofar as the day is to be made known as "A DAY OF BLOWING THE TRUMP" according to other scriptures, and this is the ONLY Day of the year in which sounding the Shofar is mandated!)
25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
(The timeframe is to be observed as a DAY OF REST, a SABBATH, {doing no Servile work therein} )
26 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month (10 Tishri 5774 {from Sunset Tues Sept 17th, 2013 to Sunset Wed Sept 18th 2013) there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
(This Affliction of the soul, is historically observed as Fasting, though no specific descriptions or details are made as to WHAT one is to do to AFFLICT thier own souls...so it is open to some degree to the individual. Some may fast, some may do another thing, to deny themselves some form of normally indulged pleasure or moreso a normal necessity as one can do without TV and live a long life, but one can not do without water, or food.)
