***NOTE: This time is DIFFERENT than any other month on the Scriptural Calendar. At the FIRST SIGHTING of the WAXING CRESCENT MOON in any REGION TODAY, begins YOM TERUAH!
NORMALLY on the last day of any Scriptural month at Sunset in Jerusalem, and then sunset region by region...at "THE FIRST SIGHTING" of the NEW MOON...ON MOST MONTHS...the New MONTH WOULD BEGIN!
But that does not apply to this timeframe, this timeframe is known as "THE HIDDEN DAY"..."The day which begins at an HOUR NO MAN KNOWS!" And it begins in any region at the FIRST SIGHTING of the WAXING CRESCENT MOON, whether that timeframe begins at 12 noon today, or 12 mindnite! Note it is "YOM TERUAH" and not "1 TISHRI" that begins at the FIRST SIGHTING of the Waxing Crescent NEW MOON! The timeframe of Yom Teruah is on the calendar date of 1 TISHRI, and 1 Tishri which goes from sunset to sunset like any other scriptural calendar date. BUT YOM Teruah sometimes due other Scriptural mandates (to begin observance at the FIRST SIGHTING OF THE WAXING CRESCENT NEW MOON) could actually see observance of Yom Teruah (Day of the Shofar) begin hours before Sunset on the last day of Elul, or other occasions, HOURS AFTER SUNSET on the First Day of Tishri, depending on moon cycles, earths alignment and the actual time of MOON RISE in any given year.
HENCE it is "YOM TERUAH" specifically and NOT 1 TISHRI, which is known as "THE HIDDEN DAY"..."THE DAY Which begins on and HOUR AND DAY WHICH No MAN KNOWS!"
One last thing, Scripture does not call this timeframe "ROSH HASHANNA"...it calls it "YOM TERUAH!"
