I fully agree with your quote from Dr. Schweitzer.
If we consider that life (every form of life) is a creation from God, we will be cautious to not destroy it willingly.
Of course there are also perillous forms of life who treaten our very existence (for exemple Micro-organisms causing sicknesses).
But that is an other topic, that anihilates not what Dr. Schweitzer wrote about the protection of life, if you place it in the right context.
I suppose that Mr. Martin Luther King has said things similary to that. Am I right?

Love is the centerpoint of the revelation of our Lord Jesus-Christ. So we are invited to consider everything with the eyes of Love (Even spiders...)
