In "Nintendo Land," I've been logging a bunch of hours. Why keep rushing to each new game in my collection before trying to "complete" this one? I think there are only two attractions that I haven't played at least once: the balloon one, and "Animal Crossing." I'm not even sure which Nintendo game inspired the throwing stars? For that matter, what about Octopus Dance?
I'm almost ready to give a sort of full review. It says I've made the most progress in Pikmin, but even that's only at 31%. I remember getting to the double digits of stages. Then I was in the annoying timed round where a big stopwatch showed up BEHIND me as time expired.
I've gotten a star in two of the one-player games: Takamaru and Yoshi. Neither one makes sense, because you can keep going beyond the progress that I've made. The ninja star one kind of disappoints me with being just four levels, and then I don't know whether it was because I threw a star at the counterfeit Monita that it let me play the second round of stages (same backgrounds, but fewer stars before reloading, and a crazy number of enemies from all skill levels). Yoshi's game definitely goes to more levels than what I cleared to get a star.
Regarding my question, I see how you can earn stamps, but how do you know the conditions for winning them? Remember, in "Wii Sports," or the sequel, there was a description right there under the name of each achievement? All I can guess is that a few of the stamps are based on completing the full mini-game.
Overall, I feel like this game might be as long or longer than "Wii Sports Resort"! I'm not sure if that's a "complaint" or a compliment. The one-player games have me wishing that I got more than one attempt or one life to clear them. Technically, some of them keep giving you multiple hearts, or multiple misses (Octopus Dance), but once you start messing up, it feels like you die pretty quickly. I don't even know how to share those pictures it takes when you blow up in the F-Zero game.
Well, it's past time for bed. I've held the GamePad parallel to the screen. I've held it vertically the long way. I've held it horizontally, but with the long side forward. I can't imagine what they'll do for the balloons (no spoilers, please).
Oh, yeah. I just wondered, too, how you get combos in the ninja game. I guess you only need one hit to defeat each person? I think my six hit combos are because I get a heart. It's just weird how you can keep hitting a computer player who hasn't totally disappeared and it seems to ruin your combo.
Some of this might be in the instructions, too, but I haven't really read them (on the disc itself or the PDF file Nintendo provides). I have about 1/3 of the prizes based on a spoiler form Rick's Miiverse. For the longest time, I didn't even know how to check my own stats (touch your Mii with the stylus).
