Hi Kirt, For 2025 the SCBA board has made some rules regarding Friday night turn: if it is a wing turn-in; wings have to be turned in in one white hinged container (garnish is allowed). If it is an ATB turn-in you may turn-in on a (one) tray, etc., but it has to be small enough for one person to carry. Thanks Previous Message

Hi Kirk, anything/but entries on Friday nights are governed by different rules than the bbq comp on Saturday. Since there are many different dishes being prepared most contests allow the cookers to use whatever container they choose. Some teams even turn in their entry in serving pieces that they retrieve after judging. Garnish is almost always allowed with a/b entries. However check with the organizers when you send in your entry to be perfectly clear.

We are new to the SCBA (Smoke Showin’ BBQ) and we had a few questions about turn in boxes at different events. Our first cook was in manning at the Smokin for a cause and I noticed the Friday night turn in boxes confused me. I thought they had to be in styrofoam containers but I saw all sorts of stuff.
