Friends, you may remember (those of you who have taken the Judge's Seminar) that we say that the Message Board is a place for messages rather than a forum for discussion. As I try to explain in the judge's Seminar that is because without the ability to see the writer's facial expressions or hear the nuance and inflection in their voice, as we do in face to face conversation, we run the risk of misunderstanding what another person actually means.

That "message not discussion" has been a guideline for the Message Board since we started it in 2004 for the simple reason that the SCBA is designed to be a fun experience rather than one that could lead to misunderstandings. So far (15 years ain't bad), it has worked quite well so let's please keep it up.
