Thanks for signing up to judge the 2015 Second Annual Grillers Cup at Lakewood Campgrounds in Surfside.

This year’s event will take place inside the Lakewood Campground Visitors Center. There is plenty of parking available in the lot across the street.

This will be a two meat event with official turn-in time for Butts at 10:00am and Ribs at 11:00am. The Judge’s meeting will be held promptly at 9:00am so please be signed in by then. If you haven’t already done so, please let me know before the event if you are earning an apron or hat.

Please note if one of your family members is on a cook team, you will not be able to judge. There are other duties available and we could always use your help. Also remember not to fraternize with the Cook Teams or enter their cooking area on Saturday morning until all judging has been completed. A quick “Hello” and “Good Luck” is fine though.

For those signed up as novices, Joe Traynham and Greg Gladley will be your instructors for the day.

There will be a Chicken Wing Cookoff Friday night beginning at 5pm. Samples will be available to the public with the proceeds benefiting Pack Back Buddies.

The Awards Ceremony will be held at 2:30 Saturday in the amphitheater.

Directions:

Lakewood Camping Resort is located 2 miles south of the Myrtle Beach city limit, on Hwy 17 Business, South Kings Hwy.

From the South: Take Hwy 17 North toward Myrtle Beach. Take Hwy 17 Business in Garden City and go approximately 3 miles. Lakewood Camping Resort will be on your right.

From the West: Take Hwy 501 East to Conway. Make a right onto Hwy 544 and go approximately 14 miles. After crossing Hwy 17, go approximately 1 mile and turn left onto Hwy 17 Business. At the next light Lakewood Camping Resort will be on your right.
