The other County Vs the New look/attitude Magpies

Just thought I would kick this off with a warm welcome back to everybody for the new season.

What do we expect with numerous ins and outs, a new head coach and backroom staff and a new strategy and game plan.

On the whole recruitment looks hit and miss but as always will give everyone a chance to prove themselves.

Pity about Bass and Mc G but hopefully the new man between the sticks is has good as if not better and we recruit someone to hopefully get close to filling Didzzy boots.

Hopefully the new HC will be an upgrade in terms of playing style and excitement than what we had last season.

First game up can go many ways but here we are aiming for a positive start and hopefully a hard working performance to get the first 3 points on the scoreboard.

Gonna start with a 3-1 win, not sure were the goals will come from but who cares so long as they go in at the right end.

Sorry Mr M for posting but not sure if you were away or not.

Nice to have you back Senor Fred and nice to be back.
The pre-season did not give much of an indication of whwere we stand.
It will be exciting to see what we can do with our new setup.
I going to go for a 2-1 win in this one.

Welcome back for another joyride of a season!

Early thoughts on our new leader are that he sounds (so far) as if he knows what he wants and how to achieve. Certainly appears to be a step up on several of the previous leaders (who in fairness, could/ should have done better, but weren't abject failures either).

On the goalkeeper change - good luck to Bass but I think/ hope that the newbie is another step forward towards a truly competent keeper.

Defense - several in & outs but feels like overall an improvement but still a little more improvement required to ensure promotion this season.

Midfield + attack will hopefully be better than last season & they'll score more goals & assists, even with Mcgoldy gone.
Still hoping for at least 1 additional out and out striker to arrive.

Todays game - anything could happen depending on the new team bonding etc The friendlies didn't really show us too much other than the potential is there, so.....
Notts to win 2-0 & set an example of keeping clean sheets which is what I think will help the Maggies fly to promotion this season!

Maybe we all felt sorry for Mr M & didn't think it fair for him to start this season way behind while he's missing in Oz?

Plenty of time after his return to humiliate him after his poor predictions!
