I've not been this excited about a new season since Lee Hughes smashed in a hat-trick against Bradford about 9 years ago.

We've got an exceptionally strong squad at this level and we're joint favourites for the title, MK Dons are the big threat to us for the top spot.

We seem to have gone for a lot of pace, defences never like to face a pacey attacker and we now have three serious speed merchants. We've also gone for a younger player mostly, but in the veteran Vaughan who I can see everything going through we've got a great signing.

We've also added proven, YES...PROVEN goalscorers.......what's not to be ecstatic about????

If it wasn't going to be 24 degrees I'd go for a 5-0 win on Saturday, but the weather may dampen expectations, although rain is not forecast, so I'm going for 3-0.

As ever, trusty Foxie and I will be there as renewed season ticket holders.....
