but I went out & got a dress and shoes for this reunion shindig I was coerced into signing up for. Why couldn't it have been "casual" or even "business casual"??? But NOOOOOOOO.... "Cocktail attire is required." WHY?!?!?!?!?! Most of us haven't seen each other in almost 50 years & we never knew each other dressed up!!! (Except for a few who have stayed in touch & were in each other's weddings, etc.) We were 100% jeans & t-shirts 4-H'ers - swap t-shirts for polos or flannels for dressy occasions!

Ah well, it ***will*** be good to see old friends. My friend, Donna, the other half of the "photo fairies", will be there. (Yep, we were the only 2 who had cameras back then to record all the shenanigans.) Just wish the 3rd member of our little group could be there but he can't get away to fly in for it due ot his father's illness.

I kinda wonder how many people will be there.... It's a 50th reunion of the creation of the Kentucky State 4-H Teen Council so folks who served at any time over the past 50 years have been invited. I know 5 or 6 from my term(s) will be there - hope there are more. Sadly, several faces will be missed dearly...

Speaking of reunions, mine & John's 40th college reunion was a few weeks ago. I didn't go. Didn't like most of the people there when we were in school - don't think I'd care much for them now! BUT... one of the guys we'd stayed in touch with writes a blog & was writing about the reunion and made special mention of John and our friends James & Bob & Bambi & Lori & Alan & Larry who all left us too soon. Yeah, I cried reading it. That still seems to be a daily occurance....
