The best thing I can say about college is that was where I met John. I hated the school my mom insisted that I attend (refused to pay for me to go to a state school like I wanted) and was too poor to fit in with 99% of the students there. John was pretty much in the same boat - only way he was there was because "preacher's kid" scholarships made it cheaper than a state school for him. All of us "poor kids" tended to stick together since we were so outnumbered.....
