I have a similar history. I don't think I ever saw the same doctor twice (or went to the same facility twice) when I was growing up. And I know I was hospitalized for some time as an infant & was reportedly given some "experimental" medication that "saved my life." Who knows where that even was... or if it even happened (since my mom couldn't tell the truth if her life depended on it)?

Maybe contact the county health department where he grew up & see if they can provide any guidance? Does he know which hospital he was in? Or at least a general area? Or actually, he'll have to do the contacting because I almsot guarantee they'll refuse to talk to you... :-(
