That you made the pond steeper which should have made it deeper. Here are some plants that might work. hardy water lilies, Arrowhead (Sagittaria), Corkscrew Rush, Pickerelweed, Marsh Marigold, and Cattails. For best results, drop containers 12–24 inches deep, well below the freezing zone.
