I understand.

I never told John this but one of the genetic tests they did on him trying to pin down his cancer showed that he carried a gene for early onset Alzheimers. If he'd survived, I'd have told him but... at that point, I already knew he wasn't going to win that battle & made the decision that he didn't need to know. Didn't need that burden on his mind on top of everything else so I carried it alone.

I've told the kids though because it could potentially affect them at some point. :-(
