While eating breakfast this morning, I mapped out a route from Kentucky to San Antonio to Albuquerque to Flagstaff/Sedona to Kings Canyon/Sequoia across to the Pacific coast and North thru CA/OR/WA until the Canada border and then back East to Sand Point then Glacier NP, dropping South towards Yellowstone, and on down to the Great Salt Lake area before heading back East towards Grand Junction, then Durango and back across the plains to KY. Avoiding interstates wherever possible. Stopping wherever I felt like it.
Or maybe venture into Canada some. The Icefields Parkway. Banff. And on up & across to Alaska...
Or even shorter walkabouts like to the Texas hill country & just roam from small town to small town. Or to Maine and roam along the coastline. Or down to Alabama and head West along the Gulf all the way over to Galveston....
I wonder if my little car could pull a teardrop camper????
With any luck, I've got another 10 years before I'd be too old to pull off those kinds of travels. Something for me to think about throughout the winter. (The biggest problem I'd have is The Boyz. Hubby & I had bought the truck we did with plans for both dogs to ride in the cab with us. My little Crosstrek won't hold me, 160# of dogs, plus even the most basic luggage!!!)
