It took approx 3 hours to wash AND dry a big load of towels which is about what it would take using separate machines. The biggest time thing is if you need to run several loads - you cant have one washing while one is drying. That would have been a HUGE problem back in the day but now, for just me, its no big deal. Ill just start a load whenever a hamper fills up and go from there.
