I am mostly lurking lately but thought I would check in. Today I found out the organization that took over will not be needing me next year. I have worked there over 9 years. The organization split off into a new organization. I am of retirement age and hope I could work there part-time. I was hoping to stay on part-time but they want to part ways. They did offer me five month severance which is nice. I was blindsided by this. My 65th birthday is next Wednesday. I was trying to hold off on social security a little longer. Fortunately, we have good retirement savings and have a good financial plan. It just hurts my pride. I don’t want to go work any where part time so I will enjoy being the animals. What shock though. I am to work until the end of January. They are having a retreat in January and would like me to come. I told them that I would probably not go. A friend of mine got let go from his job today and they DON’t have retirement. So, I guess I am lucky in that aspect. Sigh


Gracie is still with us plugging a long. She will be 16 in March. She is really a nut and amazes me. DJ is a handful but very sweet. Will try and post below:
