The entire holiday weekend was a washout with the rain. It did stop for a couple of hours yesterday in the afternoon to around dinnertime but then started right back up with on and off showers that turned to steadier light rain for the night into today. It's still lightly raining. It should finally quit some time this afternoon. It's supposed to warm up after the rain quits and maybe we'll see a little sunlight again. It's been dark grey skies here since later Friday afternoon. This puts a dent in the drought but doesn't fully end it since this was mainly light rain totalling about two inches for the entire weekend but we came into this weekend five inches below normal for rainfall. So it helps the water table but still isn't completely returned to normal. This is year three of on and off drought issues.

Kohl's has holiday sales, so last night I ordered two pairs of cotton capri pants and a summer tee from their website. They're giving five dollars Kohl's cash for every $25 you spend. With the sales I spent a little over $50, so I have $10 Kohl's cash that must be spent by next Sunday. I bought one of each of two styles of Croft and Barrow capris, if I like them I should buy another two more. It's not always easy getting relaxed fit capris in natural fibers free of lycra and spandex here during the summers. Some years the capris are styled to be tight fitting like skinny jeans with the lycra or spandex which is crazy considering our summers are very humid so those types of pants trap perspiration next to your skin. I only want relaxed fit plain cotton, linen, rayon, natural fibers in clothing for summer.

So pretty much my wet holiday weekend has been spent doing some cleaning and reorganizing and taking advantage of the online sales.

Tomorrow it's back to PT and I need to stop by the library afterwards to photocopy those medical test results papers I misplaced but found Saturday evening, to make copies to bring to my rheumatologist appointment next week. It's supposed to be sunny with a high temperature around 80 degrees tomorrow, more wild temperature swings considering it was down to 49 degrees by dinnertime on Saturday evening, five days after it hit 97 last Tuesday.
