My left knee is pretty much back to usual but I'm still having to baby the right knee which is still sore and a little swollen by the injection site. Tomorrow I will need to run to the supermarket for a short trip and Tuesday is PT. I'll have to get my PT session focused on recovery from the cortisone freeze up.
What's also bad is my old rheumatologist always used the ultrasound machine to carefully check where the needle went in and you were lying down on the exam table so your muscles were more relaxed. Orthopedists give the injections with you sitting upright so the knee muscles are more tight. I really miss my old rheumatologist and am very unhappy with how this other medical group runs things, apart from my foot and ankle orthopedist. She's okay. The other doctors aren't so great.
It's a hassle going up-county to see my original rheumatologist but I may just bite the bullet and do the longer commute to see her in the New Year.
