Must put together an outfit to wear to the rheumatologist appointment tomorrow. It's going to be windy and chilly then. Either a dress or skirt with cotton leggings. Because of rampant gender discrimination against female patients in the healthcare system, I follow the advice I read to women patients a few years ago- dress in nice business casual clothes to your medical appointments. Treat them like important business meetings, so dress accordingly. I have nice midi skirts and office wear dresses. Skirts and dresses present as more dressy and formal versus pants, and are a must for the rheumatology appointments anyway. Sometimes I'm the most dressed up patient in the waiting room. The doctors I'm seeing in this group practice are in their mid 30s, twenty years younger than me and are a bit condescending. I need all the 'business power dressing' points I can get.
